Missions
Woodbridge Christian Church is committed to the fulfillment of Christ's command, "Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). The Church commits 10 percent of its offerings to missions, with additional special offerings adding to that percentage throughout the year.
The Missions Ministry supports foreign missionaries and local benevolence. Foreign missions are supported through Operation Christmas Child like projects, financially, and with visits for building projects and ministry. The benevolence activities include a Food Pantry on site, support to ACTS, the Homeless Shelter, and the Cooperative Council of Ministries for Prince William County. Church development through support to ministers in training, Virginia Evangelistic Fellowship, and Good News Prison Ministries.
Foreign Missions supported by Woodbridge Christian include the
following:

Mission Evangelique Chretienne d'Haiti-Salnave Desarmes, a native Haitian, leads this mission. It includes churches, schools, and clinics that minister the physical and spiritual needs of thousands of Haitians. The country is struggling economically and politically. Pray for the political and Christian leaders of Haiti.

God’s
Glory Free Pentecostal Church, Liberia, West Africa – Lead by
Rev. Joseph Bannah. The Church is delivering hope and the love of God in a county
torn by civil war. In addition to the spiritual leadership, the Church began
construction of a health clinic in 2002. Pray for the political and Christian
leaders of Liberia.

Crimea for Christ, Simferopol, Ukraine - Lead
by Chuck and Karen Phillips. The Christian services there are oriented toward
humanitarian relief and spiritual growth. The Tatar ethnic group is one of their
focuses as well as building a bridge from Muslim cultures to Christianity. Pray
for open minds and hearts.
Operation Christmas Child - One way that we try to involve the whole Church in missions is through making shoe box size gifts for children in other countries. We distribute the gifts ourselves to the missions above or through Samaritans Purse, Operation Christmas Child. The annual operation starts with Vacation Bible School orientation and dedication of offerings. Then in the fall we take the children on a shopping trip. These gifts are wrapped by the Woman’s Fellowship. Families and Sunday School classes also participate providing gifts.

Christina Eum, a member of our congregation serving with Campus Crusade for Christ for several years. Recently returned from a mission trip to Kazakstan, a country of west-central Asia south of Russia and northeast of the Caspian Sea.
